Our club thrives when all members participate and volunteer. Members are expected to contribute at least 5 hours a year to the work of the club and to participate in some form in the Annual Plant Sale fundraiser.  General descriptions are provided.  Please choose at least 3 committees that you are interested in!

Publish to the club (via email, newsletter or social media) any horticultural or environmental information of interest, including courses, workshops or other clubs’ open meetings.

Use input from members to prepare and distribute newsletters during the Club’s active months- September-June; write articles about club activities

Recruit and coordinate members who will provide snacks for monthly Club meetings; plan and organize new member luncheon

Keep the membership directory updated, notify members of changes, Greet members, Manage 'new bud' program for new members

Set up, decorate, and take down the giving tree at the Morse Institute Library

Join the team that cares for the Morse Institute's indoor plants (done on the member’s schedule, and can be done in the evening.)

Join other Club members to plant and maintain the library gardens, library, and downtown containers 

Plan and arrange the Club’s monthly programs by selecting and booking speakers.

Prepare news releases for distribution to local media; prepare and distribute brochures and flyers for the auction and special events

Organize trips to flower shows, gardens, and events of interest to the Club

Update and maintain information and photos for the Club; share brief articles or gardening hints.

Compile and edit information for the membership book; prepare electronic files and arrange for printing and distribution & uploading on the club’s website in the protected members-only page

Plan and organize the annual dinner/celebration

Join other members to plan, coordinate and provide Club activities at this community event

Photographers are needed at every club activity from meetings to downtown planting, to trips. Photos are used in the newsletter, Google albums, on our website, on social media and for publicity.

Be part of the team to plan and organize our primary fundraiser: the annual plant sale; includes soliciting donations
